Check out Michael Gaffney’s Famous 96.5 point Ride on Little Yellow Jacket!!!
On April 24, 2004 at the Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho, former World Champion bull rider Michael Gaffney scored 96.5 points on Little Yellow Jacket, tying the PBR record. It was a matchup of the sport’s best: PBR World Champion Michael Gaffney vs 3-time PBR World Champion Little Yellow Jacket. As you will hear in the commentary from OLN, LYJ had yet to be ridden and people were wondering if anyone could stay on the full 8 seconds. Gaffney was up to the tall task and won this PBR event in Nampa,ID. and received what many (including Michael himself) consider to be a bit of a high score for this ride- but with LYJ the bull scores were so high that if any rider could stay on- the scores would be skewed higher.Nevertheless Michael had a plan for the ride and deserves credit for executing.
This score of 96.5 tied for the all-time Highest PBR Score!
The Rider and Bull were the Best in the Biz in 2004….and The Ride and Night are Special.
