On May 6th 2003,the Guinness  Book of World Records Bestowed the Honor on this African Watusi Steer.
The thickness of His horns (or circumference) measured 95.25 cm/37.5 inches- over 3 feet! and over 7 feet tip to tip!!
Lurch was owned  by Janice Wolf from Arkansas and she adored this steer.
Wolf took Lurch in when he was just 5 weeks old and says he was a late bloomer.
She worried that he wouldn’t have any horns at all.How’s that for Sheer Steer Irony!
On May 22nd,2010 Lurch passed away at Rocky Ridge Refuge at  15 years of age.Lurch was quite a celebrity drawing in visitors from around the world and making appearances on national television!
